  10. to taste Salt
  11. 3 tbsp pureed Tomato
  12. 2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  13. 2 tsp Sumac spice (optional)
  14. 4 tbsp Butter

Instructions to make to make Tawa Chicken Shashlik

  1. First of all make a padte of Ginger and Garlic. Now add all the ingredients to a bowl along with Chicken cubes. Mix well and see to it that the Chicken cubes gets coated with the marinade evenly. Alternatively chop all the Vegetables to chunks. Set aside separately. Or chop when you are all ready to Grill. You all can see Sumac spice in this picture below.
  2. Cover and keep aside this marinated Chicken for 3 hours. This is important. Clean the bamboo skewers. Thread the Chicken and the Vegetables alternatively onto each skewer. Brush with Butter.
  3. Grill them on a pan on a low heat. Keep turning the skewers and also baste with melted Butter as required. Cover it with a lid too for best results. As it has been marinated well, it gets done very quickly.
  4. I had served it over a bed of steaming Rice. Imli Pudina Chutney was also served alongside for those who liked to have it. Juicy and tender Chicken cubes that simply melts in mouth is what i refer to this dish as. Yum!
